Stanford Interventional Radiology is one of a few institutions on the West Coast to offer innovative and minimally invasive image-guided treatments for a wide variety of diseases, ranging from tumors to blocked arteries. Interventional Radiology Section Chief Lawrence Rusty Hofmann, MD, describes three areas of particular focus at Stanford: interventional oncology; deep venous thrombosis (DVT); and peripheral arterial disease.
